CHEPSTOW 1sts were clobbered by Clydach by 10 wickets in Saturday’s home South Wales Premier 2 clash.

The hosts were all out for 111 in 34.5 overs, Ben Sidney-Jones top-scoring with 33 before the Swansea outfit then eased to 112 without loss in 29.5 overs, Steff Davies scoring 74.

The 2nds won by six wickets away to Miskin Manor 2nds though in South East Wales 3, limiting the hosts to 185-9 off 45 overs.

Raahi Kumar and Chris Archer took two wickets apiece, before Chepstow reached 188-4 in 31 overs, Lloyd Bartlett firing 77, Bruno Chitnis 46 and James Bostock 27 not out.

And the 3rds won by a whopping 275 runs at home to Newport Fugitives 3rds after scoring 388-4 off 40 overs, Philip Richardson with 129 and Brent Harkins 96 sharing a 182-run opening stand, backed by Charlie Harkins with 66 not out, Ollie Trpte 28 and Paresh Mhamunkar 25.

They then skittled Fugitives for 113 in 27.4 overs, Rajendra Chitnis taking five for 24 and Max Hunt and Paul Phillips two apiece.

Penallt & Redbrook also won by 53 runs in midweek away to Ross CC in the Forest Hundred League.

The visitors racked up 120-3 off their 100 balls, Cameron Lee scoring 30, Amal Suku 23 and Akash Jeevan 15.

They then skittled Ross out for 67 in 96 balls, Kashi Manoj, Rajesh SR and Abin Baby taking two wickets apiece.

But the Wyesiders missed out by 16 runs at home to Whitminster in Saturday's Gloucestershire League 7 clash after being set a target of 141-7 off 40 overs, Geoff Eaves taking 3-18.

In reply, only Cameron Lee with 47, backed by Rajesh SR and Shane Claridge with 14s, troubled the scoreboard, as the run chase ended on 125-8.
