THE planned visit by Princess Anne to Monmouth Comprehensive School has been cancelled as she recovers from a "bad chest infection”.

Buckingham Palace said the Princess Royal is “resting privately at home on doctors’ orders”.

She was expected to have recovered in time for a Save the Children reception at Buckingham Palace on 20th September, but Monmouth Comprehensive School’s deputy headteacher, Andy Williams, confirmed last night (15th September) that her visit to see the restorative practices in place at the school has been postponed until next year.

The princess is pictured on her last royal visit to Monmouth in September 2010.
