Monmouth Comprehensive School’s lower school production of Matilda Jr. opened to an ecstatic audience a week last Monday (July 10) for a four-night run

The sell-out show, which featured incredible choreography and outstanding vocal performances, showcased the immense talent of students from Years 7 to 9.

The production captivated the audience from start to finish, with the young actors delivering remarkable performances that left the audience in awe. The energy and dedication displayed by the students throughout the show were truly exceptional.

The choreography brought an added level of excitement and professionalism to the production, with synchronised movements and impressive dance routines executed with precision and flair, and leaving the audience mesmerised. From the opening number to the final curtain call, the students showcased remarkable acting skills and vocal prowess.

Their heartfelt performances breathed life into the beloved characters of Matilda, Miss Trunchbull, and others, taking the audience on a journey filled with laughter, emotion, and inspiration.

The standing ovations received by the talented young actors were a testament to their hard work and dedication. Their ability to captivate and move the audience showcased their immense talent and the countless hours they devoted to rehearsals.

“We are immensely proud of our lower school students and their outstanding performances in Matilda Jr.,” said headteacher Hugo Hutchison. “Their commitment, passion, and talent have brought this beloved story to life in an extraordinary way.
