A WOMAN has died following a car crash in Llanishen.

Gwent Police is appealing for information following the collision which occurred at around 11.45pm on Saturday evening (19th March).

The B4293 collision involved a black Kia Carens with one occupant in the vehicle. A 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 46 year old man from the Monmouthshire area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
