A 25-year-old man has been ordered to pay £200 in compensation and given a community order after sexually assaulting two underage girls in Monmouthshire.

David Gardner of Pantddu Road, Aberbeeg, was charged with two counts of sexual assault on girls under the age of 16.

He appeared at Newport Magistrate’s Court on 30th December.

Gardner avoided jail and has been ordered to pay £100 compensation to each of the girls.

He has been given a five year sexual harm prevention order and has been fined £200.

He must also pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 of court costs
