Gwent Police is appealing for information after five burglaries occurred in the Caldicot area sometime on Thursday (14th January).

The burglaries took place in Green Lane (two burglaries), Goldfinch Close, Budden Crescent and Swan Court. In many cases, the properties were entered through the back of the premises.

Residents are advised to check their security. A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “If you have CCTV or house alarms, please ensure that these are working.

“Keep an eye on each other properties and if anyone sees anything suspicious please call 101.

“If anyone sees a burglary in progress, always call 999.”
