GYMNASTS from the Kestrel Club were left delighted with a successful tumble and vault competition, entered by Cardiff and Torfaen clubs.

Held at the Kestrel Gymnastics Club in Bulwark, it gave the youngest gymnasts their first opportunity to get on a competition floor, enjoying the day and competing with confidence.

Overall winners in the under-5 section were Carys Fullerton with gold and Laci Watkins with silver.

In the under-6 section Amelie Thomason won gold, followed by Hollie Smith in silver position. The under-6's champion was Lillian Sapsford, Eva Lawn won silver, Freya Hines was in bronze position, Simone Thornton took 4th place, Martha Jones-Dekerf was 5th and the girls took team gold.

In the under-8 boys competition, Aedan McDaid won overall gold.

The girls section was won by Sophie French taking gold, Sophia Cattan won silver, Olive Dunster took bronze and Edith Ferrer came in 5th, with the girls also winning team gold.
