On Sunday 21st September members of the Monmouthshire Countryside Service will be leading a 5.5 mile walk in the Skenfrith area. On the walk, which starts at Skenfrith at 11am and lasts about three hours, you will follow paths, lanes and byways and pass through woodland and a variety of farmland in an undulating part of the Monnow Valley. There are splendid panoramic views along the way. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only please. One steep slope and lots of stiles. There is no charge for this activity. Wear boots or stout shoes and bring waterproof clothing. Meet in the large lay-by on the Herefordshire side of the bridge over the river Monnow just outside Skenfrith village (SO 458 202).
