THE semi-finals are set for the Tidenham and District Darts League Team Cup competition, following some incredible performances on Friday night.

Lydney FC travelled to Chepstow Athletic Club, where they proved too strong for the home side, bagging a 9-3 victory to secure their place in the semi-finals.

The Gamekeeper will be joining them in the next round of the competition, after they saw off Turfthorn Inn A 8-5.

However, it was the other two fixtures of the evening that perhaps saw the most dramatic results. Globe Berry Hill took away a narrow 8-7 victory to Mount Pleasant, while Nags Head A obliterated Woolaston FC 13-2.

The semi-finals will see the Gamekeeper take on Lydney FC while Globe Berry Hill will host Nags Head A.

However, before the teams get the chance to play in the next round, they must all turn their attention to this Friday’s fixtures in the league.

Division One sees Chepstow Athletic Club host Bream Sports Club, who will be looking to put their first points on the league table. Gamekeeper welcomes Tufthorn Inn A, Nags Head A travels to Lydney FC and Mount Pleasant heads to league leaders Tidenham Legion A.

Division Two on the other hand sees league strugglers Cinderford RFC take on Globe Berry Hill, Nags Head Stallions face St Briavels FC, and Tidenham Legion B travels to Woolaston FC.

Division Two still sees Rising Sun A at the top, despite neither Rising Sun side featuring in this week’s fixtures. However, a good result for Nags Head Stallions or Globe Berry Hill could see either side reach the peak of the league, at least for one week.

It’s sure to be all to play for when the Rising Sun A returns next week to face Cinderford RFC - so spectators will likely be paying close attention to Division Two results this week.
