THE Coral Welsh Grand National, being held on Saturday 27th December, is the biggest horse race of the year in Wales and is also a key social occasion in the festive season.
The race, which has a prize fund of £100,000, often attracts some of the best jump horses in training with Harry Topper, last year's winner Mountainous and 2012's title-holder Monbeg Dude all on the card from top trainers including Paul Nicholls and Michael Scudamore.
There will also be entertainment away from the racing with a Christmas Choir, human statues, face painters and a marquee set aside for families.
International opera stars Bryn Terfel and Rebecca Evans will sing the national anthem live at this year's race, and Welsh rugby internationals Alex Cuthbert and Taulupe Faletau will both be available for autographs.
There are 3,000 "limited edition" beanie hats from the Grand National's sponsors to be given to those first through the gates with 1,000 Welsh cakes also being offered for free.
There is a wide selection of ticket and hospitality options with children aged 17 and under admitted free with a paying adult while parking is free too.
