THE annual Monmouth Santa Fun Run, organised by Spirit Of Monmouth Running Club, will take place on Sunday 7th December 2014.

The club is hoping to see a record number of runners of all ages take place this year to spread the Christmas cheer across Monmouth.

Spirit Of Monmouth are very pleased to announce that the orginal route is back which will see the race start and finish at the iconic Old Monnow Bridge with hundreds of locals running up Monnow Street in various Christmas fancy dress costumes.

There will be prizes awarded on the day to the runners wearing the best fancy dress which is always great fun to judge.

Registration will be open from 9.00am at the bottom of Monnow Street where adult Santa Suits will be available to purchase. Dogs are welcome too and could go home with a prize.

All funds raised will be donated to Latch which is a charity that supports children receiving treatment for cancer at the Childrens Hospital for Wales and their families.

The money will be kindly matched by Barclays Bank.

Please be aware that Monnow Street will be closed to traffic on this day from around 9.45am to 10.30am.
