Rogueruns are organising a six-mile off-road night race from Chepstow Castle on Saturday 22nd February.

Many Chepstow Harriers will either be racing or helping at the event.

This is the third race in Rogueruns' Night Races Series, starting from Chepstow Castle and taking in paths through the Piercefield Estate and along the Wye Valley walk.

It will be a one lap course with open grassland, rocky single track path, and plenty of undulations.

Each competitor will need to wear a head-torch as the race starts at 6pm, so runners will be undertaking the challenging course in the dark.

The course will be fully marked with reflective tape and arrows, and marshalled in appropriate places.

Chepstow Harriers' Judith Austerberry was 1st Lady in the first race and will be hoping to defend her position in the coming race and team mate Vanessa Lawson is also tipped for a top three position.

Chepstow's Paul Murrin will be hoping to defend his first place, with club mate Matt Stott challenging.

Silva will be donating head-torches as prizes for first man and first woman, and hand carved castles will also be presented to the winners.

Age category winners will also receive prizes, as will the 2nd and 3rd man and woman. All competitors will receive free tea and cake at the finish.
