A SEVEN mile walk in the Monnow Valley has been organised by the club for Sunday 19th July.

This is an undulating walk through woods and over farm land, hopefully with excellent views.

Close to the Welsh-English boarder, overlooking the River Monnow stands St John the Baptist's Church, Llanrothal. This Grade II listed building is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. From there walkers will head to Darren Wood and on to Sheephouse Brake and Lower Skenchill Farm.

The meeting time at Glendower Street car park is 9.30am with the aim to start to walking at 10am.

New members are always welcome to join Monmouth Rambling and Hillwalking Club. There is a small annual membership subscription.

Suitable footwear and clothing are essential. Please bring a drink and a packed lunch.
