RAISING funds for St David’s Hospice, Monmouth mum Louise Uttley tackled the Cardiff Half Marathon this month in a breath-taking 2 hours 26 minutes; tripling her original aim by raising £500 for St David’s Hospice at Home Nurses.

The money will pay for three Hospice at Home Nurses to stay with a patient overnight and give all the care they need in their own home surrounded by loved ones or will pay for two Clinical Nurse Specialists to visit a patient and their family twice in a week to help stabilise their symptoms. The money could also fund 50 Hospice at Home Nurses to care for someone in their own home for one hour, giving all the care they so desperately need at the end of their life.
