MONMOUTH Hawks hosted Chepstow's Garden City on Chippenham on Saturday, 24th January.

The under 8s team, coached by James Barrell, fielded some strong players, with Oliver Pugh, Archie Barrel, James Thomas, Matthew Macsen-Jones, Calvert Rees, Charley Handley and Kian Davies giving their rivals some tough opposition.

The Monmouth team were able to show Chepstow some good football tactics and the game ended with everyone having a good game.

Monmouth's other under 8s team – the Sharks – fielded two teams when they travelled to

Beachley Barracks Playing Fields to play Chepstow Town Lions under the watchful eye of Mark Thorpe.

Team players were Harley Thorpe, James Hardinge, William Kelsall, Lenny Wright, Tilly McCluskey, Harry Hing and Lukas Holse.

The second squad were William Frost, Harry Guerin, Harry Williams, Lenny Kilner, Cai Jarrett, Evan Hanks and Logan Snell.
