THE Lion continues to ride high and the Sloop got off the mark in the Llanishen Local Cribbage League.

Week 4 fixtures were played on Tuesday 11 November and the Lion continued their unbeaten run, beating the Wye Valley in a close 8-7 match.

The Sloop also got off the mark for the season, beating the InBOATweeners 8-7.

The Bell leapfrogged the Nomads into second place in the league, beating them 9-6.

Matches were played at the Lion in Trellech, the Boat in Penallt and the Bell in Redbrook.

Next week is the Past Players Competition and the Team Knockout Semi Final draw, at the Sloop in Llandogo, starting at 8.30pm.
