IT was time again for Karen Forbes, who trains at Chepstow's Kestrel Gymnastics Club, to defend her British Champion Title at the British Veterans Championships held in Newcastle.

Karen, an ex-Commonwealth gymnast in her early gymnastics days, performed a very good and graceful routine on floor.

She had one unfortunate loss of balance on the beam, but her competition on A-bars and vault went very well.

So once again Karen was very happy to retain her title as British Champion in the veterans' 50 years-plus section.

The club runs an adult training session on Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm for men and women from beginners level onwards.
