CHEPSTOW racehorse Go Glamorous is all set to run at the town's Ladies Evening, where if ladies take the hint from the horse's name, they could win £1,000. The annual fixture is on a new date this year, Thursday 14th August, and will crown Chepstow's best dressed lady who will take home the cash. Welsh rugby star Andy Powell, Miss Teen Great Britain finalist Emma Williams from Caldicot plus Heart FM hosts Jagger and Woody will have the task of choosing which lovely lady wins. Porsche and Heart FM are sponsoring the event and in preparation, two models paid a visit to Ron Harris' training yard on the outskirts of Chepstow. They met Go Glamorous, who Harris plans to run in the three-year-old handicap sponsored by Porsche over six furlongs. Harris said: "She has got the perfect name for it. I hope she runs well. "Evenings like these are great to give ladies the chance to dress up, they all like that. It's a chance for them to get a feel for racing too." Nine runners up in the best dressed lady competition receive a prize and the crowd will be able to see their fantastic outfits. Plus, there is a once-in-a-lifetime prize for the winner of the Porsche Lady Riders Handicap over 1m 2f – a driving experience at Silverstone. Chepstow's executive director Phil Bell said: "All the lady riders will no doubt be at the top of their game as they do battle in this contest. "We look forward to a great night of entertainment and I am sure it will be tough for our panellists to decide who will scoop £1,000." There will be a fashion show on stage during the evening in association with Bridgend-based Tempest Fashion. Tribute band Boyzlife play after seven live races, the first of which is off at 5.20pm. General admission tickets start from £18, while ladies who would like to add a little extra to their raceday experience could try the 'Bubbles and Biceps' package. The £45 price includes Butlers in the Buff serving in one of the racecourse's private suites, admission ticket, glass of sparkling wine on arrival, chocolate fountains, snacks, raceday programme and private bar facilities.
