GWENT Hockey Club has achieved major success this spring, with four teams heading to Wrexham at the weekend for the Welsh Youth finals 2015.
This prestigious annual all-Wales hockey tournament sees teams filled with some exceptional hockey players, competing from all over the country; and last weekend Gwent's four youth teams beat their opponents.
All age categories played three matches, some in Swansea and Newtown, winning with success to be finalists next weekend.
In every game the players demonstrated their prowess in attack, and solidarity in defence, making their respective coaches extremely proud of their teamwork, drive, energy and passion.
The teams qualifying for the Welsh final are under-11 girls, under-13 girls, under-15's and under-18's. It is a huge achievement for the club, known in south east Wales as the "Orange Army".
They are now training hard, hopeful of recreating that success again, to bring home four trophies for the Bank Holiday weekend.
