Welsh Women’s League - Caldicot Town Ladies 11 Llangyfelach Ladies 0

CALDICOT Town manager Luke Harris was delighted after watching his team destroy the visitors in this goal feast.

Town scored six of the best in a 15-minute spell in the first half and despite dominating the second half their opponents managed to stop them doubling the score.

Leading the way with five goals was Kelly Cutler while Emily Bayliss (3), Abby Rose (2) and Ashleigh Harris completed the rout.

“It was a positive performance and we moved the ball around very well,” the manager said later.

“It was nice to see what we have done in training take effect on the pitch.”

Town are top of the league and have a game in hand over second-placed Aberystwyth Town who are due to visit in November, but Harris is keen to play down any talk of a rapid return to the Welsh Premier League.

“Now it’s time to focus on our game next Sunday against Rhos because we are taking one game at a time,” he said.
