East Gwent League Division?Two

CHEPSTOW Town’s title ambitions were boosted this weekend, maintaining their five point lead at the top of East Gwent League Division Two with a comprehensive ten goal win over Thornwell Red and White B.

Town hammered Thornwell 10-0 thanks to goals from Matt Owen (2), Matt Earley (2), Adam Wakely (2), Simon Prangley (2) and Ben Lewis (2) to strengthen their grip on

the title.

Meanwhile, second placed Underwood SC B finished 3-0 winners at home to Caldicot Castle B and Mathern Reserves B did their own title aspirations no harm, winning 4-1 at home to Severn Tunnel B.

Sudbrook CC were awarded the points and a 5-0 default victory after Severn Tunnel C were unable to raise a team in their fixture.
