Thornwell Red and White are out of the cup after losing 4-0 at home to County League Division Three side Tranch FC.

Thornwell boss Terry Woodward described the game as the first he hasn’t enjoyed playing in this season.

“It was not a great game for us,” he said.

“Tranch are a very physical side and overstepped the mark a couple of times.

“The first two goals should not have been given as they were miles offside and we should been awarded a blatant free kick before they scored the second and that killed us!

“But it was a game which gave us a bit of fitness after a few weeks off although we struggled for players a little. It was definitely the first game I’ve not enjoyed this season!”
