Abbey boss Martin Woodford paid tribute to their opponents.

Abbey's other goals came from Stuart Williams (penalty), Jordan Griffiths and Joe Whitehouse.
Mathern stayed top with an 8-0 victory at near neighbours Chepstow Athletic, with Dan Windos (2), Harry Ward, Jordan Barrett, Hywel Pugh, Sean Harrison, Harry Lewis and Tom Watson on target.
Underwood kept chasing with a 6-0 home win over Chepstow Town, thanks to goals from James McManus, Tom Turner, Callum Ford, David Rees and Matthew Seabourne.
Undy Athletic won 6-2 at Castle A thanks to Sam Monday (2), Josh James, Jack Lloyd, Harry James and George Mollard.
In Division 2, Caldicot Town beat Portskewett and Sudbrook 5-3. Courtney Davies (3), Ben Jones and Tudor Morgan-Huggett scored for Town with Chris Commins, Steve Lovell and Gareth Huntley replying.
Chepstow Town (Steve Pattison, Nick Owen and Dean Barnett) and Severn Bridge (Steve Jones (penalty, Rob O'Connor and Gareth Jones) drew 3-3 in what was described as a hard-fought game in difficult conditions.
