THE weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June saw the Royal Dean Forest Cycling Club team take on the gruelling Mountain Mayhem in the grounds of Gatcombe Park.

The 24 hour endurance event saw RDFCC's team finish an impressive 4th place in the mixed team event out of more than 50 teams, covering 36 laps in 24 hours between them.

Tuesday 23rd June saw club members take on the Lydbrook 10 mile time trial. A warm and calm evening drew a big turnout with Earl Smith finishing first with a time of 22 minutes, 43 seconds.

The region's summer cyclo-cross season sees RDFCC rider Jared Linden in second place overall, with regular podium visits despite it being his first season at the discipline.
