THE Winter Jump Racing meeting at Chepstow Racecourse on Friday 16th January was abandoned due to parts of the course becoming waterlogged.
All six scheduled races were called off on Wednesday after a track inspection rated the track at heavy, waterlogged in places.
Since 1st January, the racecourse has seen more than 100mm (4") of rainfall in the weeks beforehand, with particularly heavy rain and some snow in the days leading up to the event.
The next fixture is on Friday 30th January with seven jump races set to take place.
