USK Farmers Club held a successful and enjoyable tractor run on Sunday 12th April.

20 tractors left the Hall Inn, Gwehelog after being well fortified with bacon sandwiches kindly supplied by the landlords, Steph and Stuart Savage.

The tractors ranged from Massey Ferguson 35s to a Fordson Major with John Deeres also represented. The warmest driver was John Morgan with his modern Case Maxxum complete with air conditioning, radio and other mod cons.

Tim Jenkins, a local agricultural engineer, organised a wonderful route through the Monmouthshire countryside taking in Clytha, Penrhos and Dingestow returning to the Hall Inn after a run of three and a half hours or so. Steph and Stuart then put on an excellent Sunday lunch which was much appreciated by all drivers and other friends.

The next social event is a Sunday lunch on Sunday 5th July at Usk Castle.
