THE latest addition to Raglan Parc Golf Club, a conservatory, was officially opened by senior team captain Des Williams earlier this month.
The new conservatory is the latest in a number of improvements to both the course and facilities undertaken in the last few years but it will not be the last as the club strives to offer some of the best facilities for golf and events in the area.
At the opening,, managing director Nigel Price paid tribute to several seniors for their generosity in fully funding the project. He said: “As membership has grown over the last couple of years and the club becomes more popular as a party and wedding venue, it became clear that we needed additional space for the increased number of people using the clubhouse.”
As current senior’s captain and one of the prime movers in raising the finance, Des was given the honour of ‘cutting the ribbon’ and declaring the conservatory open. Des added: “It was a pleasure to support the club in this way and I would also thank all the members of staff and management who are working so hard to maintain and constantly improve easily one of the best courses in the area.”
