UPDATE: The Severn Bridge is closed to high-sided vehicles and one lane is closed in both directions because of the high winds. The matrix signs are set to 40mph.HIGH winds have closed the Severn Bridge this morning.

The M48 bridge is currently closed in both directions between junction one and junction two to all vehicles.

A diversion is in place to take traffic over he the Second Severn Crossing. This has resulted in heavier than usual traffic between M4 junction 23 for the M48 and junction 24 Coldra.
