MADAM,

I was reading your article concerning the closure of the two schemes at Bridges Community Centre and I don’t know about your readers but I for one am absolutely disgusted by the county council for withdrawing funds.

Surely there are other ways of saving money than to stop much-needed funding for these two groups which are, as I see it, vital to the community.

Perhaps the fat cat leaders of the council could give away some of the money they get as expenditure, seeing as the UK Government is moaning about the amount of money councils waste on functions and travelling.

I shall also be writing to the Welsh Assembly asking the same question.

I have been told that the Social Circles Group (formally COMIC) has been running for 27 years approximately and it is a vital support to the people it helps.
