UPDATE: The Severn Bridge is now open to some traffic travelling westbound. The bridge is still closed on the eastbound carriageway and to high-sided vehicles on the westbound carriageway.HIGH winds have closed the Severn Bridge this morning.

The M48 bridge is currently closed in both directions between junction one and junction two to all vehicles.

A diversion is in place to take traffic over the the Second Severn Crossing. This has resulted in heavier than usual traffic between M4 junction 23 for the M48 and junction 24 Coldra.
