Abergavenny's Keith Davies literally raised the roof at St Cadoc's Church Raglan when he performed as Elvis to help boost the community funds by £1,284.50.
The church was filled with over a 100 punters in the audience. The Raise the Roof Committee would like to thank Keith and his backing singers for donating their time to the campaign and to all those involved in making the night such a success.
Thanks also to Keith and Dilys Williams from Raglan Farm Shop who kindly donated the first prize of an Easter Turkey as the number one prize in the raffle.
The committee also would like to thank all those who came along to the event and boost the fund through your support to £14,481.79.
As a result of its success the 'Elvis Sings Gospel' event will be held again next year on Saturday February 20th.
The St Cadoc's Church 2016 Calender Competition is now open for entries, the title of this years competition is 'your favourite all-time photo of Raglan' these can be scanned in and sent to [email protected]">[email protected] or from March 1st a print can be dropped into the competition box at H Shackleton Ltd, the chemist on High Street Raglan. Entries must be in by July 31st 2015.
The next event in the church is a night with the Ladies Allegra Choir on 21st March from 7pm, tickets £7 (pay on the door).
