MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has been re-appointed to the role of Conservative Finance Spokesman in the Welsh Assembly.
Mr Ramsay’s appointment was part of a number of appointments announced at the end of last week.
Speaking today (13th June), he said: “I am pleased to take on the role of finance spokesman for the Conservatives in Wales. It is a role that I had before the Assembly election and one that is clearly important to Wales and my constituents.
“The issue of finance in the Assembly is becoming increasingly important with the controversial devolution of greater financial powers to the National Assembly.
“The role of scrutinising the Welsh Government is also vital, particularly with the arithmetic in the Assembly, meaning that the Welsh minority Government does not have overall control.
“I look forward to representing the interests of Monmouthshire in the Assembly over the months and years to come.”
