Chepstow motorists and residents should prepare for upcoming travel disruptions, as a section of High Street is scheduled for a temporary closure later this month.
Monmouthshire County Council has announced its intention to implement a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order to allow for the safe installation of new utility services. The closure will affect High Street from its junction with Bank Street to its junction with Beaufort Square.
The order is set to come into operation on July 13, with works expected to be completed by July 17. While the road will be closed to through traffic, council officials have confirmed that reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected area.
