Monmouthshire County Council has announced several temporary road closures scheduled for early and mid‑September, with works affecting routes in Llantrisant, Coed y Paen, Magor and Shirenewton.

Each order has been issued under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and allows essential poling or cabling works to be carried out safely while maintaining reasonable access for residents living along the affected stretches.

The same day, a 300‑metre stretch of R102 Parc Road to Oak Ridge in Coed y Paen will close between 10am and 5pm. In Magor, Barecroft Common will close for 365 metres from its junction with the A4810.
