THE 15th annual Hoggin the Bridge exceeded all expectations with a crowd of more than 2,000 flocking to the site last Saturday (18th October).

Motorcyclists travelled from Brightside car park in Bristol to Chepstow Racecourse over the Severn Bridge.

Organisers estimate that the amount raised this year will exceed £15,000 which will be donated to charities including Meningitis Now and Blood Bikes.

Marshalls said it took one and a half hours from lead bike to tail bike to cross the bridge.

For the second year running the event ended at the race track due to the large numbers.

Previously it had ended in Chepstow town but the rally has become so large that, for health and safety reasons, the 2000 plus bikes need a larger area to congregate at the end of the event.
