Pupils from the Dell Primary School enjoyed a visit to Raglan Castle yesterday (9th September) as part of their history studies. This week sees Henry Tudor return to Raglan castle for a week of one-man shows tailored especially for Monmouthshire primary school pupils who will be studying the Tudors. The show is staged by Wales-based theatre company In Character, who are delighted to have the support of Cadw to stage the show at such a spectacular venue. On Tuesday it was the Dell's Year 4 class who had the pleasure of the performance. Eleri Twynog Davies from In Character said: "We have toured the Henry Tudor show all over Wales in the past year, but there's something rather special in bringing the show to Raglan Castle. "Not only does the castle provide an incredible backdrop to any piece of theatre, but Henry's story has close connections with the castle and its owner back in Tudor times, William Herbert". Adrienne Wood, Cadw lifelong learning manager said: "This is such a good way to engage and inspire children, and introduce them to their heritage, and all within the amazing setting of Raglan Castle". During the week 10 Monmouthshire schools are expected to visit the castle.
