A FEMALE driver had to be cut out of her car when it left the roadway on the A449 this morning.

Police and fire services responded to a one vehicle collision on the A449 northbound, near the Coldra towards Usk. A female driver was removed from a car with the help of the Fire Service and taken to hospital.

The woman’s injuries are not described as life threatening or life changing.

A representative from South Wales Fire Service said: “Crews used cutting equipment to free a casualty trapped in a car following a car leaving the roadway of A449 Northbound Coldra to Usk.”
