MONMOUTHSHIRE’S most impressive castles, abbeys and historic sites have released a summer-long programme for adventurous family events.
The Welsh Government’s historic environment service, Cadw, has launched the programme as part of its Historic Adventures campaign, which brings visitors one-of-a-kind experiences at Cadw sites during Visit Wales’s Year of Adventure, starting with the four metre-long dragon that broke the banks of Caerphilly Castle back in March.
From watching a falcon soar over a medieval castle, to hearing the laughter and cries of a theatre audience ring out across the peaceful plains of a ruined abbey, there are a number of remarkable experiences to be had during June, July and August.
Exciting events for adults and children alike will take place at Raglan Castle, Tintern Abbey, White Castle and Chepstow Castle.
