FIVE local charities were invited to the café at Waitrose, Monmouth last Friday (3rd March), where they were presented with their Community Matters ‘green tokens’ cheques by Branch Manager Simon Adkins.

The charities that benefitted were Monmouthshire Self Help Friendship Group, Wye Valley Chamber Music, NH Sound Hospital Radio, Forest Sensory Services and Ross Rowing Junior Academy.

Waitrose donates £1,000 every month between local good causes. At the end of their shop customers receive a green token to place in a box for the good cause they would most like to support. If any local charity would like to apply for the green tokens scheme, pick up a form from Waitrose Monmouth or call the branch on 01600 772552.
