MADAM,

I note that, whoever thought that a pinch point (aka chaos point) in Monmouth’s high street would be a good idea, has come with a way to prevent too much traffic using the town route.

Signs have appeared directing “through traffic” along the dual carriageway.

So, more now on a road which is already prone to big traffic hold-ups, particularly in the rush hours. More cars trying to manoeuvre the Dixton roundabout and the Wye Bridge lights.

Perhaps planners would like to explain why they thought that extra traffic on the dual carriageway would be a good idea?
