THE Beacon would like to thank its readers for their suggestions as to which children's charity to support with its 2016 calendar.

Readers are now invited to vote for their favourite registered charity from the shortlist below.

The first is 21 Plus, a support group for families with children who have Down's Syndrome in Monmouthshire, the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

The second is Meeting the Needs (Overmonnow Special Needs Unit). The charity supplies support to children with special needs at Overmonnow Primary School.

The third is the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
