SIR, Local radio recently reported that the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in Monmouth is to be closed later this year. I am sure austerity has influenced this decision. I have no contact with CAB but I do know that nationally it has played an important part in the 'safety net' which some people have needed to use. My concern is that the facility in Monmouth is staffed by volunteers and when this goes what will happen locally to those in need? I am surprised that this subject has not been discussed widely in Monmouth with the exception of the people affected. Tony Evans (Monmouth)
