POLICE are searching for a man who was spotted walking around Monmouth with what looked like an air rifle.

He was seen by local adults and children on Cornwallis Way, at around 5.30pm on Tuesday (14th June).

Gwent Police received the call on Wednesday afternoon.

The man is being described as having dark hair, being clean shaven and wearing a dark tracksuit with a hood.

Officers are making enquiries in the area.
