LEADERS Severn Bridge stay top thanks to 3-2 win over Mathern B whose manager Gary Burchill was pleased with his young side's performance.
"Sammy Davies put us ahead after we soaked up a lot of pressure," he said.
"But Bridge responded well and scored twice soon after the break. We levelled when Dan Webb sent over a cross for his brother Matt to finish but Bridge won a great game late on with a header from a corner."
Bridge's goals came from Luke Johnson, Paul Trask and Iain Easton.
With Underwood A not playing, their B team benefited at Severn Tunnel C, boosting their goal difference with a 16-0 victory.
Manager Craig Johnson described the game as a cracking team performance.
"It was just what I was looking for after a poor performance against Tintern Abbey in our last game," he said.
"Sam Ryall capped a great captain's performance by scoring a 30-yarder which will be a contender for our goal of the season, and this performance will give us great confidence going into this weekend's Fishwick Cup semi final against Chepstow Town B.
"I must also give great credit to Severn Tunnel for not giving up and battling to the end."
Underwood's goals came from Keiron Gettings (5), Josh Downing (4), Mathew Seabourne (2), Jamie Richardson (2), Alex Ryall, Taylor Gregory and Kyle Harrison.
Other results saw Severn Tunnel B lose 5-1 at home to Caldicot Town for whom Gareth Crispin (2), Liam Wilson (2) and Jamie Gaskell scored while Geraint Reynolds (3), Neil Mackie and Tom Collins were on target for Tintern Abbey B's 5-4 victory at Caldicot Castle B.
Finally, Portskewett and Sudbrook won 6-2 at Sudbrook CC B.
