Last week Monmouth RFC welcomed their new Head Coach, as pre-season training began ahead of the challenge of Division 1 rugby for the 2019/20 season.

Chay Billen, the former Pontypool and Ebbw Vale player, was delighted with both the turnout and skills on show, as he concluded the first session with the Division 2 East champions of last season. The Level 4 coach commanded the full attention of the First XV squad and introduced a variety of innovative skill sessions that were much enjoyed by those present, though a sense that the hard graft ahead was never far away!

The Club continues to welcome new players, so if anybody would like to join, training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Chippenham fields, from 7pm.
