THE Monross team had a short journey to Ufton Court, near Holme Lacy this weekend for the last cross-country race of 2014.

This course was generally hill free, save for one steep climb, and skirted the edge of fields to make up the 6.5 mile course.

Andy Stephens ran well again, finishing in 41.33. Barry Davies followed up in 15th, 44.22 then Phil Thomas (45 mins), Luke James, David Knapper and Vanessa Ball.

The team hope to be back to full strength for the penultimate race in the winter league in January.
