THE Savoy Youth Theatre Academy's next production in May half term is The Fairy Tale Marmalade Trail – and it aims to give people a whole new experience of theatre.
There will be fun and exploration for all ages, and plenty of surprises as the young actors use their improvisation skills to inspire and intrigue audience members, and present their take on some favourite fairy tales.
The audience will be able to get directly involved by walking around the promenade-style production, get their hands on the props (and maybe even get messy), interact with the characters, and eat (allegedly) poisoned apples.
They'll need to watch out for Snow White's evil step mother though and find the food to feed the troll so they can save the Billy Goats Gruff.
"We're really looking forward to the performances, which really will be 'tales of the unexpected'," said Sam Densham, Savoy Youth Theatre Director.
"We can't wait to reveal our take on these much-loved fairy tales – and share with them a theatrical experience with a difference."
The show will run between Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May, with the first production starting at 11am at the Savoy Theatre, Monmouth.
Saturday 30th May will see a show held at the Nelson Gardens at 2pm and Sunday 31st May will also have a 2pm matinee at Bridges Community Centre.
Performances are un-ticketed but the group will be very grateful for any donations in the buckets that will be available at all three events.
