Reading in the Beacon about the “upgrade” to Agincourt Square has moved me to ask if there isn’t a better way to spend the money?

It seems an egotistical move by the council to further pamper the town, it’s a shame nobody will be able to get here.

Anyone who travels the A4136 Staunton Road knows that it’s about to disintegrate and tumble down Mayhill.

Surely spending the money on essential infrastructure rather than superficial cosmetics is a better option?
