I need to express how disappointed I was while visiting my home town after and absence of nine years.

Where are all the summer flowers? Something I looked forward to when driving down Monnow Street was sharing with my family the beautiful displays of hanging baskets and pots of flowers. There were a few in the square but that is it. Not even a display at the iconic Monnow Bridge.

Have the council and local people gone lazy or are they just visiting Usk?

Extremely poor horticultural effort. Not the Monmouth I grew up with. Hoping that the next few years sees some encouraging improvement.
