Vintage fashions were on show at the Drill Hall earlier this month. Outfits from the 1920s right through to the 1980s featured on the catwalk, as well as dresses from Chepstow Museum's 'What is Fashion?' exhibition. Four of the outfits were designed by Mady Gerrard, a holocaust survivor who made dresses for Shirley Bassey and Dionne Warwick in New York, and now lives in St Arvans. One of Mady's creations, a pink knitted maxi dress modelled by Lisa Walls, is pictured far left. Image of pink dress by http://www.unique-as-you.co.uk">www.unique-as-you.co.uk.
